Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) antibody and antigen raw materials for immunoassay development, reagent screening and rapid-test optimization. Source: Mouse (Antibody) / E. coli (Antigen); application: Myocardial Injury / Acute Myocardial Infarction.
Background
Cardiac troponin (cTn) is a cardiac muscle contraction regulating protein.
cTn is composed of subunits of three different genes: cardiac troponin T (cTnT), cardiac troponin I (cTn I), and troponin C (cTnC).
Currently, cTnT and cTnI are used for ACS laboratory diagnosis.
Troponin I(cTnI) is a protein commonly found in muscle tissue. Since cTnI has a unique amino acid sequence in its composition (31 amino acids more at the n-terminal than striated muscle), skeletal muscle, liver, kidney and other cellular damage does not affect the judgment of its results, so troponin I has good specificity.
Clinical Significance
Myocardial troponin is a biomarker with the strongest specificity and high sensitivity for the diagnosis of myocardial injury or necrosis at present, and it is the best confirmed marker for the diagnosis of AMI at present. It also has an important clinical significance in the risk stratification of ACS.
In healthy people, there is no or very low content of cTnI in blood. When myocardial ischemia and hypoxia occur, degeneration and necrosis occur, cell membrane is damaged, and cTnI diffuses into the intercellular matrix, and appears in peripheral blood earlier.
cTnI appears in peripheral blood 4~6h after the onset, and reaches a peak 12~48 hours after the onset.
After the occurrence of severe MI, the plasma cTnI remains high for 4~10 days, with a long diagnostic window.
Product Parameters
Myocardial infarction is the earliest indicator.
Consistent with Abbott, the normal range is less than 10pg/ml.
