Background
HAV is caused by the hepatitis a virus (HAV), mainly liver inflammatory lesions of infectious diseases, mainly through dung-mouth spreading. Clinically fatigue, anorexia, hepatomegaly, abnormal liver function are the main performances. Some cases jaundice, main performance is acute hepatitis and asymptomatic infection is common.
It can occur at any age, but mainly in children and adolescents.
The clinical symptom of adult is heavier than child commonly.
Winter and spring are often the peak season of HAV.
The course of the disease is self-limited, no chronic and acute severe hepatitis is extremely rare. With the use of inactivated vaccine in the world, HAV epidemic has been effectively controlled.
Clinical Significance
It is mainly used for auxiliary diagnosis of HAV.
Positive: at a hepatitis incubation period and a few days after the onset.
At this point, blood and feces are infectious.
Feces is the main source of infection. HAV check can be seen before premorbid 1 ~ 2 weeks, come on to a peak when you get the illness, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) amount to before peak detox suspends.
